Hi,
So basically I am looking to upgrade some parts in my machine and I am a total noob when it comes to PC building. I have never done it before. I am a big gamer but most of the type of games PDX releases.. real time strat, 4x etc. Games such as Stellaris that require a lot of AI power as opposed to a huge graphics card.
With all that being said, is there a go-to CPU range that would best fit my needs? I have quite a decent budget for a CPU-motherboard combo (probably about £6-700).
I've been looking at the intel core i7 8700k. Is that going to give me a CPU which will last me a good few years with high performance?
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
